Abstract

For the study of water management problems in agriculture often the same hydrologic parameters and calculation techniques are applicable as for civil engineering studies (e.g. foundations) and drinkwater supply studies (e.g. extraction and recharge of water). Therefore, arbitrary subdivision of hydrology as agro-hydrology, geohydrology etc. does not always make much sense. In this paper the use of some hydrologic calculation techniques in solving water management problems in agriculture is elucidated.
